Hate Story started on average note in single screens and below average at multiplexes. But the film managed to show good growth in evening and night shows, specially Multiplex shown excellent growth as these types of films are not expected to do so well in plexes.
First day collection will come close to 5cr which is very good considering star cast, competition and Ramadan period which affected the business in single screens.
Film did well in north as expected, Delhi/UP and East Punjab saw best collections. Delhi/Up should go over 1cr nett while east punjab should come around 80lakhs. With very good start film has ensured good business for its lifetime.
Though film has only one week to perform as after its 1st week it will lose almost all of its screens to Kick. Still if film trends well it can cover all its cost with some profit in first week itself as budget is low and film has somehow opened better.
Other releases like Amit Sahni ki list and Pizza 3D opened very dull and they will have to show extraordinary growth throughout the weekend to make any mark at the boxoffice.
