Year 2014 started with big disappointments in month January with films like Yaariyan, Dedh Ishqiya, Mr. Joe B. Carvalho, One By Two etc. Jai Ho seems to have good content but the boxoffice numbers are not upto the mark. Jai Ho was first big release of the year 2014 but it underperformed at the boxoffice and struggling to achieve Hit status. Now all eyes are on the releases of February 2014. Some interesting movies are lined up to release in February like Hasee Toh Phasee, Gunday, Highway, Shadi Ke Side Effects etc.
Hasee Toh Phasee :
It is an romantic comedy film directed by Vinil Mathew and produced by Karan Johar and Anurag Kashyap. The film features Sidhartha Malhotra and Parineeta Chopra in the lead roles. The film is scheduled to release on February 7, 2014.
It is second release of Sidhartha Malhotra after successful debut with Student Of The Year. Trailers and song promos of movie are quite good and looks to be a perfect entertainer for the youths. If this movie will be able to click with youth audiences then there are good chances of its success but only hurdle for the movie is that it has only one open week. Just after one week of its release Gunday is arriving which will affect its boxoffice collection.

The film will feature Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor as Bikram and Bala in lead roles while Priyanka Chopra and Irfan Khan will appear as Nandita and ACP Satyajeet Sarkar in supporting roles. It will be benifited with holiday of Valentines day on its opening day which will help it to put up big numbers at boxoffice. Trailer and song promos of the movie has been well recieved by audiences. This film will be loved by masses as it has massy content. Film may surprise us by putting up big numbers at boxoffice. Trade is expecting it to be big grosser but at the end of the day its Janta Janardhan which will decide the fate of the movie. Looking at the recent failures in masala genre there are chances of its failure too but we have to wait for the result. Ranveer singh has given monster hit in the form of Ramleela recently and he would likely to continue his golden run at the boxoffice while Arjun Kapoor would like to come back with this movie after the failure of Aurangzeb.

Highway is a romance-drama film, directed by Imtiaz Ali and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. It features Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt in lead roles.The film will be released worldwide on February 21, 2014.
Imtiaz Ali is well known for his good direction and film is expected to be good content wise. Boxoffice wise film has not that big potential because starcast is not that popular and also the genre of the film doesn't have wide appeal but still film can do decent to good business.

Shadi Ke Side Effects :
Shadi Ke Side Effects is a romantic comedy The film is directed by Saket Chaudhary and features Farhan Akhtar and Vidya Balan in lead roles The film is produced by Balaji Motion Pictures and Pritish Nandy communications. The film is scheduled for release on 28 February 2014.
The film is about a young couple who struggle to rediscover love after their marriage. Promos of the movie are looking impressive and starcast is also perfect. This movie has fair chances to collect well at boxoffice. Genre of the movie is also very good. Farhan is riding on high after super success of Bhag Milkha Bhag while Vidya also have great face value and considered to be one of the big crowd pullers among actresses and she had been proved it with films like The Dirty Picture and Kahaani.

So, February is looking good with many good films lined for release but it has to be seen that how many films out of them will be able to succeed at the Boxoffice.
